Dinosaurs Unleashed at Bishop Museum

Fun Night (Parents' Night Out)

Get your kids into some fitness fun while you have a little parent alone time with Fun Nights. Almost every Monday and Friday, the Hawaii Academy opens its doors for drop-in mini lessons. Kids 6 years and older can try out 9 trampolines, 3 double mini tramps, a tumble track, parkour area and more. Kids 5 years old do need to be accompanied by an adult.

Meet the Monk Seals at The Waikiki Aquarium

Ask all of your monk seal questions every first and third Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m. Aquarium biologists will introduce you to the resident seals, Makaonaona and Hoailona.  Participants will assist with seal enrichment activities.  Designed for participants 7 and up, but anyone interested is invited to attend.  $7/person ($10/person for non-members).

Ukulele Lessons at Windward Mall

The Ukulele Club of Hawaii invites players of all ability levels to strum down to Windward Mall every first Tuesday of the month.  Bring your own ukulele or borrow one from a limited supply. Ukulele tuning begins at 5:30 p.m., the lesson begins at 6 p.m.  For more info, click here.

2015 HIKI NŌ Festival

Top stories from the past season of HIKI NŌ, PBS Hawaii's statewide student news network, will be shown at a free public screening as part of the 2015 HIKI NŌ Festival. All of the stories in the festival have been nominated for the 2015 HIKI NŌ Awards. Seventeen of the 34 nominated schools are on O'ahu.

2015 Dog Show at Neal Blaisdell Center

Spend the weekend with your dog-loving family and see Hawai'i's annual dog show competition. Doors open to the public at 8 a.m. and competition begins at 8:30 a.m.   Saturday, Sept. 5; 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6; 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

33rd Annual Okinawan Festival

Okinawan Festival celebrates the Okinawan culture with taiko, eisa and dance performances, children's games, and classic food like andagi, andagi ala mode, champuru plate and more. There will be displays and activities for calligraphy and Okinawan language (Uchinaaguchi), kimono and paranku picture taking.
