Open House at Honolulu Hale

As part of April’s National County Government Month, a free open house will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, at Honolulu Hale. Learn about city services and programs. The Amazing Castle Exhibit

Explore a fantasy castle and medieval world in the newest exhibit at the Hawaii Children's Discovery Center. The Amazing Castle offers kids a chance to dress as lords and ladies, pick vegetables, cook a royal meal, do village tasks or even meet a sleeping dragon. This special exhibit will be at the Discovery Center until May 4.

Behind the Scenes tour at Waikiki Aquarium

Every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m., learn what makes the Aquarium run, from fish food to quaran­tine, and many stops in between. Climb up and peer into the exhibits and see how they are created. Visit the Coral Farm where coral is propagated and see the animals before they go on exhibit. Mini­mum age 7 years; youngsters must be accompanied by an adult.

Art in the Park

Art in the Park is a drop-in art program every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children will explore a variety of art media through three open-ended art activities that encourage children to nurture their creative spirit. The cost is $1 per child with Center admission, or $3 per child without Center admission. Call 524-KIDS (5437) for more information.

Lei Day Celebration 2015

18th Islandwide Spring Crafts & Food Expo

14th Annual Jamba Banana Man Chase

The Jamba Banana Man Chase is known as Hawaii’s Wackiest Race because runners chase life-sized bananas around the 5K course! ALSO, participants over the age of 18 can dress up in their most heroic costume and enter the Super Fruit superhero costume to win a trip for two on Alaska Airlines.
