How to Train Your Dragon Camp

Send your little one to dragon camp. Kids 4 to 8 years will travel to the world of Berk with Hiccup and Toothless. Keiki will learn about dragons around the globe, have a pizza lunch, then do dragon-themed games and crafts. Registration is required by November 14. Download the form here.

Kids will learn about the science behind roller coasters and what makes them work. And, they'll also get to experience the thrill of riding in some of the world's best roller coasters by viewing the ride on a large screen from the seat of a roller coaster car.

Explore a fantasy castle and medieval world in the newest exhibit at the Hawaii Children's Discovery Center. The Amazing Castle offers kids a chance to dress as lords and ladies, pick vegetables, cook a royal meal, do village tasks or even meet a sleeping dragon. This special exhibit will be at the Discovery Center until May 4.

Make-An-Angel Craft Workshop

Turn paper bags into angels to decorate your home. The 90-minute workshop will let kids ages 8 and up create their own angels to use as tree toppers, centerpieces and more. All materials for this free eco-friendly event are provided by Lei Ilima Club. The workshop will be 90 minutes. Registration is recommended.

Meet the Monk Seals at The Waikiki Aquarium

Ask all of your monk seal questions every first and third Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m. Aquarium biologists will introduce you to the resident seals, Makaonaona and Hoailona.  Participants will assist with seal enrichment activities.  Designed for participants 7 and up, but anyone interested is invited to attend.  $7/person ($10/person for non-members).

Ukulele Lessons at Windward Mall

The Ukulele Club of Hawaii invites players of all ability levels to strum down to Windward Mall every first Tuesday of the month.  Bring your own ukulele or borrow one from a limited supply. Ukulele tuning begins at 5 p.m., the lesson begins at 6p.m.  For more info, click here.

Art in the Park

Art in the Park is a drop-in art program every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children will explore a variety of art media through three open-ended art activities that encourage children to nurture their creative spirit.
