Designing Dory Workshop

Learn about relief printmaking. Inspired by Finding Dory, students will carve, ink and print their own design of underwater sea creatures. They’ll finish off the project by creating a whimsical porthole using cutouts from their prints and other recycled materials.   Sunday, Sept. 25, 2:30-4 pm

Keiki Day at Waimea Valley

In 2016, Waimea Valley will offer free admission to kamaaina kids 12 years and younger every Wednesday for the first time ever.  In addition to access to the swimming hole, games, botanical garden and more, there will be additional educational games and demonstrations which could include tours, hula, crafts, music and storytelling with the park's kupuna.

The birds meet each other at an anger-management class and they all feel like outcasts on Bird Island, which is filled with happy flightless birds.

Pearlridge is proud to host “Comic Jam Hawaii,” a regular social event of local artists who create collaborative cartoons, illustrations and sketches while “talking story.” Approximately one dozen artists will gather and create cooperative art. Meet the Monk Seals at The Waikiki Aquarium

Ask all of your monk seal questions every first and third Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m. Aquarium biologists will introduce you to the resident seals, Makaonaona and Hoailona.  Participants will assist with seal enrichment activities.  Designed for participants 7 and up, but anyone interested is invited to attend.  $7/person ($10/person for non-members).
