Keiki Film Hui 2015

Consolidated Theatres' $1 movie series is back for 2015. The Keiki Film Hui will offer the discount matinees every Wednesday and Thursday from June 3 through July 15. Films are playing in Kapolei, Koko Marina, Mililani, Pearlridge and Ward.

Picnic On the Pier

Kick off the summer with an evening visit to a historic battleship. The public is invited to bring a picnic to Pier Foxtrot 5, the berth of the Battleship Missouri. Beach chairs, coolers and picnic gear is welcome but glass, umbrellas and grills will not be allowed.

Keiki Fishing Derby

Grab a fishing pole and win a prize for catching the longest or most midas cichlids at Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden. There will also be a prize for the most unusual catch in this catch-and-release competition. Barnes & Noble Storytime

Stop in for storytime every Saturday and Tuesday. Kids will be treated to a tale then will engage in a hands-on activity.   Stories for May and June.Storytime is always at 11 a.m.

Ocean Fest 2015

In celebration of World Oceans Day with this festival on the North Shore. Find ocean activities such as kayaking and stand up paddling, go on a treasure hunt for a chance at prizes, learn about wildlife, buy a snack at the food court and see a display of youth art and poetry. Five-dollar raffle tickets could also win you prizes ranging from a two-night Turtle Bay Resort to pony rides.

Pet Blessing

Bring your furry or slithery friends to a pet blessing to celebrate the bonds between humans and animals. Leashed and caged pets and humans of all faiths are welcome for a complimentary blessing anytime between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, June 7. Reservations are not required. This event is free and open to the public. Parking at Damien School with free shuttle.
